estelle is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, artist, and international mischief maker. she spent five years traveling the world as a digital nomad before falling in love with #vanlife in australia in 2018 — then bought a one-way ticket from minnesota to florida to build her very first camper van. 3 summers and 48 states later, she settled in sunny saint pete to pursue vans full time. our team supports estelle day in and day out, keeping the workshop the creative, productive zone it needs to be.

our founder estelle spent five years traveling full time before falling in love with van life in australia in 2018. after 48 states and one very loved camper, the interest kept coming — 70+ builds later, florida van life co was born.

yes! send us the details on your rig and what you're dreaming up, and we'll let you know if it's a good fit for our process.

💸 do you offer financing? +

we do — reach out and we'll walk you through payment options and what financing looks like for your build. see all the ways to pay on our payment options page.

🙋 will you hold the van for me? +

📅 how long can i rent a van for? +

tell us your dates when you request to book and we'll confirm availability, pricing, and pickup details directly with you — short weekend trips and longer road trips both welcome.

🚐 do i need van life experience to rent? +

nope! our rentals are regular, full-size camper vans — no special license required, just a valid current legal U.S.A. driver's license. they're the same hand-crafted campers we build, ready to go with no build waitlist and no big purchase — just pick your dates and go. we walk you through everything at pickup.

🔑 is there an under-25 fee? +

nope — we never charge extra just for being young. we hold a refundable deposit on every rental no matter your age, and it works the same for everyone: bring the van back the way you got it and you're all good. if it comes back trashed or in rough shape, that's what covers the cleanup or repairs — not your age.

🐾 can i bring my pet on a rental? +

most of our vans are pet-friendly for a small pet fee — just let us know when you book so we can match you with the right van.

🧭 is there a mileage limit on rentals? +

yep, each van's listing has a set number of miles per night included, with a small per-mile rate after that. plenty for most trips — if you're planning something longer, just ask and we'll help you plan around it.

💵 is there a security deposit? +

yes, every rental holds a refundable security deposit. bring the van back the way you got it and it's returned in full — it's there to cover cleaning or repairs if it comes back rough, not to make renting harder.

🔧 how long does a custom build take? +

it depends on the build — every camper is different, and timelines shift with how detailed the design is and what's in stock. we'll give you a realistic estimate before you commit and keep you posted the whole way through.

🚐 what's the difference between your rental tiers? +

the stay wild is our fully-functional starter build — bed, decorations, ready to roll. the live free adds a full off-grid battery system so you can camp without hookups. the boujee mf is our top-tier build for the ultimate trip. check each van's listing for exactly what's included.

📍 where do i pick up and drop off the van? +

every rental starts and ends at our workshop in st. pete, florida. we'll walk you through everything the van has before you hit the road, so you're not figuring it out in a parking lot.

🚐 how hard is it to drive a van? +

way easier than you'd think! most of our guests feel totally comfortable after about 5 minutes behind the wheel. if you've ever driven an suv, a suburban, or anything bigger than a sedan, you'll feel right at home. it's automatic, it's easy, and anyone can do it — if you can drive an suv, you can drive one of our camper vans.
